32-Bit Microcontroller with USB On-The-Go
The MCF5221X family features an integrated USB on-the-go (OTG) and a wide variety of serial interface offerings (up to three universal asynchronous receiver/transmitters (UARTS), one serial peripheral interface (SPI), two I²C) which makes it ideal to develop applications requiring device or host USB plus easy connection to other systems.
The MCF5221X family is based on the cost-efficient, low-power ColdFire® V2 core (up to 80 MHz and 76 MIPS performance @ 3.3-volt CPU).

- ColdFire® V2 core delivering 76 (Dhrystone 2.1) MIPS @ 66,80 MHz
- Flash 64 KB, 128 KB
- SRAM 16 KB, 8 KB.
- Integrated peripherals:
- USB OTG
- Up to three UARTS
- Two I²C
- Up to three serial communications interface (SCI)
- Pulse width modulator (PWM)
- Up to 63 general-purpose input/outputs (GPIOs)
