The S12XFSTARTERKITE contains everything required to set up a two-node FlexRay network in less than an hour. Based on the NXP S12XF512 16-bit MCU with an XGATE co-processor and embedded FlexRay controller, the S12XFSTARTERKITE contains hardware, software, tools and an easy to follow Quick Start Guide.

  • BDM connector for external in-circuit debugging
  • Header connectors with all microcontroller signals
  • One CAN connector with transceiver integrated in the MC33742
  • Two FlexRay connectors with two transceivers

  • NXP TJA1080 FlexRay transceiver
  • Eight User LEDs
  • Two push-buttons
  • Reset push button for the MCU and/or the SBC
  • NOTE: The EVB9S12XF512E evaluation board comes assembled with the PC9S12XF512MLM (112-pin LQFP). This board is designed to support also the PC9S12XF512MLH (64-pin LQFP). To order this part, contact your NXP sales representative. Refer to for guidelines to enable the support for the 64-pin LQFP device.
