P&E's PROGCFZ is Windows®-based flash programming software for ColdFire® V2, V3 and V4 MCUs that communicates with the processor's debug mode using a P&E Multilink hardware interface. This allows you to program/reprogram external ColdFire V2, V3 and V4 flash devices, in-circuit. Compatible Multilink interfaces for ColdFire V2, V3 and V4 development include the Multilink Universal and the high-speed Multilink Universal FX. The interface connects the USB port of your PC to a 26-pin debug connector on the target system. The programming software includes P&E's entire library of ColdFire V2, V3 and V4 programming algorithms, and new algorithms are available free of charge.
PROGCFZ also includes the command-line version of the programmer software, called CPROGCFZ, which allows scripted programming. Together PROG and CPROG are useful for development, production line programming, or field firmware upgrades. For a more full-featured production solution, P&E also offers a stand-alone, in-circuit flash programmer called the Cyclone MAX that is ideal for production programming and field maintenance.
