The PCA9957HN-ARD Arduino Shield allows easy integration with Arduino EVKs to evaluate the LED controller features for color mixing, blinking and dimming LEDs. A graphical interface allows the user to easily explore the different functions of the driver to create an evaluation system.

Features

Gradation Control

  • Support up to four groups of LED gradation control
  • Each LED channel assigned to one of four groups
  • For each group, PCA9959 supports 64-grid brightness control
  • Each LED output has its own 6-bit resolution (64 steps) preset current configuration, with an absolution accuracy of ± 8%

Power Supply

  • Supply voltage: 2.7V to 5.5V
  • Low standby current (170 µA)

LED Current

  • 32 mA / 5.5V output drive per channel
  • Output current accuracy:
    • ±4% channel to channel
    • ±6% chip to chip
  • Output current adjusts through resistor at REXT pin

Interface

  • 10 MHz SPI interface
  • Output Enable (/OE) pin

Package

  • HVQFN40 - Plastic thermal enhanced very thin quad flat package; no leads; 40 terminals; body 5 x 5 x 0.85 mm
