The PCA8561AHN-ARD Arduino Shield board allows easy integration with Arduino EVKs to evaluate the PCA8561A LCD driver features. The LCD panel (DE 301-RS-20/6, Display Elektronik) on the board is used for multi-backplane and segment evaluations.

  • Selectable backplane drive configuration: static, 2, 3 or 4 backplane multiplexing
  • Selectable display bias configuration: static, 1⁄2, or 1⁄3
  • 18 segment drives:
    • Up to 9 7-segment numeric characters programmable
    • Up to 4 14-segment alphanumeric characters
    • Any graphics of up to 72 segments/elements

Power

  • Supply voltage: 1.8 V to 5.5 V (VDD, VLCD)
  • Low standby current (0.6 µA)

Interface

  • 400 KHz I²C-bus
  • 5 MHz SPI bus
