The PCAL6534EV-ARD Arduino Shield allows easy integration with Arduino EVKs to evaluate 34-bit general-purpose I/O expander features for interfacing to sensors, push buttons, keypads and more. A graphical interface allows the user to easily explore the different functions of the GPIO expander to create an evaluation system.

  • Supports 34-bit GPIO
  • Open-drain active LOW interrupt output (INT)
  • Latched outputs with 25 mA drive maximum capability for directly driving LEDs
  • Agile I/O with Output drive strength, Input latch, pull-up/pull-down enable/selection and interrupt mask features

Power

  • Supply voltage: VDD (p) 1.65 V to 5.5 V, VDD (I²C-bus) 0.8 V to 3.6 V
  • Low standby current (2.0 uA/3.0 uA)

Voltage Translation

  • Allows bidirectional voltage-level translation and GPIO expansion between 0.8 V to 3.6 V SCL/SDA and 1.8 V, 2.5 V, 3.3 V, 5.5 V Port P

Interface

  • 1 MHz Fast-mode Plus I²C-bus
  • RESET pin
