8-bit EEPROM with TSI for Body Electronics MCUs
The automotive S08RN Family of 8-Bit MCUs is highly scalable, ranging from simple devices with 2kB Flash in 8-pin-packages for cost-effective solutions to feature-rich derivatives with 60kB Flash in 64-pin packages. The family-approach allows easy, pin and peripheral-compatible migration.
The S08RN MCU family is fully AEC-Q100 compliant and qualified up to 125°C ambient temperatures.
Integrated peripherals including Touch Sensing interface as well as motorcontrol-PWM simplify PCB design, and combined with a broad portfolio of device options, result in reduced BOM costs.

- Debug via BDM (single-wire, non-intrusive)
- Up to 60kB Flash (read/program/erase over full operating voltage and temperature)
- Up to 4kB of RAM
- Up to 256B of EEPROM with ECC (4-byte erase sector)
- Communication: Up to 3 LIN-SCI, up to 2 SPIs, up to 1 IIC
- Flextimer:
- Up to 3 16-Bit Flextimer-modules with 2-6 channel each
- 6ch-Flextimer with Fault-inputs and Deadtime-insertion and ADC-sync for 3-ph-BLDC motorcontrol
- Configurable for Input Capture Output Compare Edge- or Center-aligned PWM
- Realtimeclock, Watchdogtimer with in depth clock source
- Up to 16-ch., 12-bit SAR ADC with 8-stage FIFO-queue
- Analog Comparator with differential input
- Up to 16-ch. Touch-Sensing Interface functional in all power modes. Highly configurable though HW and SW allows optimization for speed, robustness or power-consumption
