The MCX A5 devices are scalable microcontrollers in the MCX A Series designed for high-performance motor control and connected embedded control.

Optimized for connected industrial and secure edge applications, MCX A5 combines a 240 MHz Arm® Cortex®-M33 core with up to 2 MB Flash and 640 kB SRAM with advanced connectivity, rich analog integration, versatile serial interfaces and enhanced security capabilities. Integrated 10/100M Ethernet MAC and 10BASE-T1S (TJA1410) digital PHY helps simplify industrial networking, delivering the performance and integration needed to build reliable, connected and secure next-generation industrial and IoT systems. Along with our TJJF1410 10BASE-T1S PMD transceiver, NXP provides a complete system solution for the last mile Ethernet networking.

The MCUXpresso Developer Experience provides software tools, application examples and expansion resources to support development, including the Expansion Board Hub (EBH) for add-on boards and the Application Code Hub (ACH) for software examples, with evaluation available through the FRDM-MCXA577 development boards to simplify prototyping and feature exploration.
