SJA1105EL: Five- Ports AVB Automotive Ethernet Switch
The SJA1105EL Ethernet switch offers a flexible solution for implementing modular and cost-optimized ECUs capable of supporting any in-vehicle connectivity requirement.
By leveraging the 5 Gbps switching throughput, each SJA1105EL port can operate independently at data-rates ranging between 10, 100 and 1000 Mbps. The standard interfaces available on all ports make it easy to connect Ethernet PHYs of any type. Such as NXP’s TJA1100, optical transceivers or the common 10/100/1000BASE-TX PHYs used for diagnostics applications and in the industrial automation market. The SJA1105EL fully support key automotive standards such as Audio/Video bridging and offer advanced automotive diagnostics.

Five Individually Configurable Ports Each Capable of Running at 10/100/1000Mbps
- Flexible ECU design by supporting any 10/100/1000 BASE-TX PHYs
- 5 Gbps throughput enables non-blocking 1 Gbps data-rate on all ports
- Simple ECU update from 100 Mbps to 1000 Mbps
- MII/RMII/RGMII interfaces available on all ports
- Enables a scalable and cost-efficient ECU design with up to four cascaded switches controlled by a single external host
Full Support for Audio/Video Bridging (AVB) and IEEE 1588v2 Standards
- Enable the implementation of a fully synchronized network
- AVB SW available by NXP or third party SW vendors
- Support for hardware-based synchronization for industrial applications
IEEE 802.1X Port-Based Authentication and Data-Rate Monitoring. Denial of Service Protection
- Enable device authentication over Ethernet
- Block denial-of-service attacks and babbling idiot errors
Traffic Mirroring and Flexible VLAN Manipulation
- Enables the implementation of a powerful network debugging
- Enables diagnosis purposes and traffic labeling of such traffic via dedicated VLAN tags
