HVBMS Battery Junction Box Using CAN FD with MC33772C (BJB)

The RD772BJBCANFDEVB is a battery junction box (BJB) reference design with CAN FD communication. It is meant for rapid prototyping of a high-voltage battery management system (HVBMS) hardware and software. This board contains two MC33772C battery sensors for redundant high voltage and current measurements and performs isolation measurements.

This board is part of the HWRD-HVBMSCC bundle using CAN-FD.

  • 0.5% measurement error (IC level only)

Temperature Measurement

  • Shunt temperature measurement for current measurement compensation
  • Pre-charge resistor temperature measurement

Isolation Measurement

  • Isolation resistance measurement between high voltage and low voltage domains

Communication

  • CAN FD communication
  • High speed CAN FD transceiver up to 5 Mbit/s
