Smoking can take a big toll on your health, your quality of life and your budget. According to the Surgeon General, quitting tobacco is the single most important thing smokers can do to improve life expectancy and quality of life. Below are some helpful programs to help employees quit smoking.

Quit for life® through UnitedHealthcare

The six-week Quit For Life program lets you work with a certified coach for one-on-one support to stay on track so you can stop using tobacco for good. This program offers:

  • Support from a Quit Coach®
  • Quit-smoking medications
  • Quit Guide
  • Members-only website
  • Helpful texts

Quit smoking through Kaiser

Working with a wellness coach can help you stop using tobacco. Having someone in your corner can make all the difference. Your coach is there to keep you motivated, track your progress and celebrate your successes.

Maternity Support Program

If you’re thinking about having a baby or have one on the way, the Maternity Support Program is here to provide information and support — throughout your pregnancy and after giving birth. Congenital Heart Disease Resource Services (CHDRS) through United Healthcare

This resource service helps members find the right care available in the Centers of Excellence (COE) Network. The service features a specialized COE network and clinical management services to manage and support families through the process of facility selection, the in-patient stay and post discharge.

By choosing an Optum Centers of Excellence network medical center, the member will be more likely to have the following experiences:

  • A more accurate diagnosis
  • Higher success rates
  • Care that is planned, coordinated and provided by a team of experts who specialize in their condition
  • Appropriate therapy (neither too much nor too little)
  • Fewer complications
  • Shorter length of stay in a medical center
