Design Features

  • Powerful SBC (FS6501) as power supply and microcontroller (MPC574xP)
  • Up to 14 lithium-ion battery cell voltage sensing
  • Current sensing with on-board SHUNT resistor
  • High-side/low-side relay driver that could drive fan and contactor
  • Crash signal detection and diagnostic
  • TPL isolation communication on board
  • Two-channel CAN interface
  • JTAG debugging interface
  • Targeting functional level ASIL D solution

Channel Optimization

  • Up to 14 channels for cell voltage sensing, with over-voltage (OV) and under-voltage (UV) protection
  • Up to two channels for current sensing, with over-current (OC) protection
  • Up to six channels for temperature sensing:
    • Three channels for battery cell temperature sensing
    • One channel for shunt resistor temperature sensing
    • Two channels for air-flow area temperature sensing executed by MCU ADC
  • Six channel temperature measurement by external NTC, four from AFE, two from MCU ADC
  • One channel temperature measurement by onboard NTC for cell balancing resistor area

Additional Accesories

  • Power supply, 5 V to 28 V with the current limit set initially to 1.5 A to 9.0 A
  • Oscilloscope, preferably 4-channel, with current probe (optional)
  • Typical loads: battery simulator
  • Multilink FX
