PTN3356 acts as a bridge between the PC's DisplayPort connector and a VGA monitor by converting DisplayPort protocol to analog VGA format.

  • Wide sets of display resolutions are supported
  • Any resolution and refresh rates are supported from 25 MHz up to 180 MHz pixel clock rate at 24 bpp, or up to 240 MHz pixel clock rate at 18 bpp

  • Supports 1 Mbit/s AUX channel
  • Support VESA-compliant eDP extensions ASSR and AEF
  • I²C-Over_AUX support MCCS, DDC/CI, and DDC protocols
  • Bits per color (bpc) supported
    • 6, 8 bits supported
    • 10, 12, 16 bits supported by truncation to 8 MSBs
  • Different crystal frequencies support: 24/25/27 MHz
