Founded in 2013, the NXP Foundation is a U.S.-based 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to promoting diverse advancement in science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) education around the globe.

The $250,000 contribution that NXP gave to Arizona State University was used to support the following:
NXP Semiconductors Endowed Scholarship Endowment ($100,000)
Offers scholarship support for students with a 3.5 GPA studying in one of the following degree programs: Electrical Engineering, Electrical Systems Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or Mechanical Systems Engineering.
Microelectronics Commons – Workforce Development ($150,000)
Funds allocated to this program will be used to provide discretionary faculty support for the Microelectronics Commons workforce development for the building of course curriculum in the areas of RF Circuit Design in 5G/6G.
NXP Semiconductors Diversity Funding ($50,000)
Funds allowed to this program will provide three years of support to the following diverse student organizations:
The new NXP Advanced Manufacturing Lab at Austin Community College will help support and extend educational curriculum and resources for both adult and high school students entering the semiconductor industry and other advanced manufacturing occupations.
The lab was announced in 2023 as part of a $250,000 donation to the Austin Community College District (ACC) Foundation in support of the school’s Engineering Technology and Advanced Manufacturing Program. In addition to the lab, NXP’s donation includes scholarship funds targeting candidates from the Advanced Manufacturing Academy.
The NXP Advanced Manufacturing Lab demonstrates NXP’s ongoing commitment to promote and improve STEM education in the local Austin community.
NXP announced a $100,000 donation to Mesa Community College (MCC) and Estrella Mountain Community College (EMCC) in Arizona. This scholarship fund is in support of the school’s Automated Industrial Technology (AIT) program.
NXP donated $150,000 to Prairie View A&M University (PVAMU) to be used to fund 15 $10,000 student scholarships over a three-year period.
