SIGN INNXP team members around the world generously contribute their time, resources and talents to create meaningful changes in the places where we live and work. Our team members regularly support a variety of community and/or non-profit organizations throughout the year and many major NXP sites have their own volunteer and donation programs that emphasize education, poverty, hunger, health and well-being within their respective communities.
NXP actively invests in STEM education by hosting guest lectures, lab tours, and fostering partnerships with universities through collaborative innovation centers worldwide.
Key initiatives include programs like EcoCar, the National University Students Intelligent Car Race, and the NXP Cup. Additionally, NXP nurtures young talent by supporting impactful programs such as Kids Future Day and the Technovation Program, inspiring the next generation of innovators in technology and engineering.
NXP engages with various age groups to spark interest in the industry. We work with primary and middle schools to break down stigmas about technical jobs and showcase the potential of microchips. The MINT Festival from Science Garden was a key event for children aged 6-14 years old. NXP also offers company visits to middle schools, HTLs, and universities, providing young adults with an inside view of their work. The Talent Acquisition Team is active at national and international job fairs, such as Teconomy Graz and FER Zagreb Career Fair. Additionally, NXP participated in the "Girls! TECH UP - Day," introducing girls to opportunities in the technical field.
Promoted young talent through programs like mint:pink, e-gnition, Engineering at School and “Kids Future Day.”
Hosted the Campus Connect Program, which is designed to provide opportunities to academia through multiple focused tracks of Technical Webinars, Hackathons, Proof-of-Concept solutions to solve contemporary problems by creating partnership between brightest talent at college and experienced industry experts and pave the way forward for seamless transition from Campus to Corporate.
As a new strategy, starting in January 2024, we began collaborating with different engineering colleges for every webinar with the college broadcasting our MS Teams LIVE Webinar in their seminar halls where many students watch it together. These webinars happen on the first and third Tuesday of every month.
Launched our first high school internship program this year with Ann Richards School for Young Women in Austin. Four high school girls paired with female engineer mentors to learn about their role and pitched a proposal to NXP at the end of their internship week. NXP US looks to continue with this initiative in 2025.
Donated “Christmas Tree Wishes” to in-need children during the holiday season.
Collectively donated 922,000 JPY to the local government of Ishikawa-Prefecture in response to the earthquake in Noto, Japan.
Donated ergonomic chairs, to bosque urbano, a civil association to support those in need.
Supported various local causes through employee giving campaigns.
Through volunteerism, NXP team members around the globe support a variety of projects that range from park maintenance and cleanups to mentoring and helping to educate the youth.
Participated in local community clean-up activities in support of 2024 Earth Day activities.

Donated time and energy with shelter maintenance and report at Buenos Chicos, a non-profit organization that is helping the Guadalajara metropolitan area with an uncontained problem with stray dogs that exposes them to situations of abuse, violence, diseases, and hunger that endanger their lives. The shelter is a home for the dogs to recover, trust and wait for adoption.
Volunteered to pack meals that were donated to local community organzations to support those in need.
Hosted “She leads, Wisdom seeds,” a female volunteer program that supports the education of underprivileged children by donating refurbished laptops and offering a course to inspire their interest in science and technology.
In 2024, we will expand the opportunity for team members to use our NXP Gives Back platform across the world.
