With UCODE 9, demanding RAIN RFID tagging applications get a boost, so retailers and smart-logistics companies can accelerate their IoT adoption.

With its increased performance, UCODE 9 allows for more efficient inventory counts. Additionally, UCODE 9 allows for a re-use of the existing UCODE 8 inlay antenna designs, which offers an easy migration path from UCODE 8 to UCODE 9.

Its higher chip performance enables smaller inlay designs which helps reducing the usage of plastic and aluminum thereby promoting environmental sustainability.

  • 32-bit kill password to permanently disable the tag
  • Wide operating temperature range: -40 °C up to +85 °C
  • 100k write cycle endurance
  • 20 years data retention

Supported Features

  • All mandatory commands of the EPC global Gen2 v2.1 specification are implemented including:
    • Kill command
  • The following optional commands are implemented in conformance with the EPC specification
    • Block Write (2 words, 32-bit)
  • Self-adjust for automated tag performance optimization
  • Permalock
