The local interconnect network (LIN) bus is an easy-to-use and inexpensive serial communication protocol, now substituting the CAN bus in window lift, mirrors, wiper and sensor applications. LIN bus applies widely for distributed automotive applications, but it is equally suited for industrial applications.
In this session, we'll address the LIN basics and how it works. We will also show how to program hardware for LIN communication using a few blocks and demonstrate how to apply the NXP Model-Based Design Toolbox (MBDT) on an S32K1xx microcontroller.
