In an ever-changing world, protecting basic human rights and maintaining high standards of ethics and integrity is essential.
NXP has an unwavering commitment to weaving these values into the fabric of our global company. Active in more than 30
countries, we uphold the values of trust, respect, and the belief in fairness, dignity and fundamental freedoms enshrined in
the United Nations Universal Declaration of Human Rights. Our commitment to human rights and ethical practices is underlined by
our involvement in various projects that drive positive change in both areas.
Collaborating for More Positive Change
We employ more than 34,500 team members at NXP and partner with more than 10,000 suppliers across the globe. So, collaboration
is a major part of what we do and is key to our commitment to human rights and ethical practices. In 2022, we implemented a
comprehensive
NXP Human Rights Policy
that fosters transparency and collaboration, and a vision of a more just and equitable future. This policy enables us to work
more closely with our business partners to proactively identify and address allegations of human rights violations and abuses.
The scope of this commitment includes the transportation, harboring, recruitment or transfer of persons using threat, force,
coercion, abduction, fraud or payments. The policy is based on input from our external and internal stakeholders worldwide and
was approved by the NXP Board of Directors.
Unwavering integrity, values and ethics. NXP's commitment to upholding values of human rights and ethical practices can be seen in action in our
2022 modern slavery report.
Making Immediate Impact
Our efforts to promote labor and human rights values are recognized by various organizations. In 2022, we were ranked #10 on
KnowTheChain’s 2022 Information and Communications Technology Benchmark, #25 on the World Benchmarking Alliance’s 2022 Corporate
Human Rights Benchmark and we achieved an MSCI ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) rating of AAA.
In the same year, we were included in several events where we discussed best practices and shared our experiences of working
within a multi-tiered supply chain. For example, 2022 was the fifth consecutive year that the UN Working Group on Business and
Human Rights invited us to participate in a panel at the UN Asia-Pacific Forum on Business and Human Rights.
These recent achievements underscore how our team members contribute to achieving the highest standards of human rights and
ethical behavior. Read more in our comprehensive

Continuing in a Strong Spirit for the Future
NXP is committed to eliminating modern-day slavery and abuses of labor and human rights from its value chain. Moving forward, we
will keep reviewing our programs and processes annually, adopting emerging best practices and enhancing our approach based on
real-world experience. Evaluating our performance yearly helps us to better protect the people we work with and demonstrates our
commitment to being an ethical, responsible and transparent company.
In the near term, we have plans to introduce more interactive tools for accountability and more ways to engage with workers and
incorporate their feedback. As a part of these plans, we are focusing on issues relating to collaboration, integration and
supply-chain engagement. We will continue our work with expert organizations, NGOs, CSOs and academia, stay current on relevant
issues and monitor best practices as they evolve. We will also increase our engagement and collaboration at the industry level
to identify and mediate in actual and potential cases of labor and human rights abuses. Finally, we will continue to work with
customers to address human rights issues and challenges throughout the supply chain and drive implementation to our lower-tier
suppliers.
