Yes, depending on the level and nature of the role in which you’re interested. If a degree is a requirement, it will usually be stated in the job description. All NXP openings worldwide are posted on our Job Listings. Simply search by your criteria. We consider all qualified candidates, regardless of citizenship or visa status, and the same application process is used for positions in all locations.
After an initial screening of your resume by a member of our talent acquisition team, qualified resumes are forwarded to the hiring manager for review in our applicant tracking system. The manager will then request a phone interview for those determined to be a good match. For those who advance to the next stage, a series of interviews (virtual and/or onsite) are conducted. Based on the results of these interviews, an offer for employment is extended to the most qualified applicant.

Work visa sponsorship depends on the position requirements and each individual's qualifications. NXP hires people from all countries and backgrounds, and sponsorship is handled on a case-by-case basis to determine eligibility.

After you complete the application process for a position, you will see a message on the screen confirming that your application has been received. You will also receive an email confirmation.
After you apply for a position, you will receive email confirmation of submission. To check the status of your application, go to our Job Listings, Sign In in the upper right corner, then click on Candidate Home in the upper right. You can monitor the status of your application under the Submitted Applications section.
When applying for a position, you will see the question “Do you accept that we use your information for other job openings?” If you answer “Yes” to this question, we will store your candidate details in our central database for up to two years. If you select “No” to this question, we will only retain your personal record until the job you are applying for is filled or closed. You can delete your profile at any time by going to your Candidate Home page and clicking on your email address in the top right corner. Click “Account Settings,” then “Delete My Information.” We purge our data on a monthly basis, so your data will be permanently deleted in 31 days at the latest. Yes, we do have an employee referral program. During the application process you will see the question “How did you hear about us?” Please select “Employee Referral” and then enter the referring employee’s @nxp.com email address. Our recruitment team will follow up with the employee.
All NXP job offers are contingent upon the successful completion of our pre-employment screening process, which includes a background check. The background check is initiated after you have accepted your conditional job offer.
Certain NXP roles may require a mandatory drug screen as a condition of employment. If the role you’ve received an offer for requires a drug screen, you will be notified at the time of offer and be prompted with next steps during the screening process. Failure to complete a required drug screen in the allotted time may result in the withdrawal of your conditional offer of employment.
You should generally receive word when you are no longer in consideration for a role you applied to – either by email or directly from the recruiter. If for some reason you have not heard from us for several weeks about a role, we may have moved forward with another candidate for that role. If you already have a candidate profile in our system, it is not necessary to create a new profile. You can apply to additional roles using the same candidate profile. If you need to change your email address, go to our Job Listings, Sign In in the upper right corner, then click on your email in the upper right. Select Account Settings and you will see the option to change your email.
If you receive an offer from NXP your offer letter will be sent via email from your hiring coordinator.
If you were not selected for a particular role, you may always reapply to a similar or alternate role at any time. However, due to application system limitations, you may not be able to reapply to the same specific requisition for which you were previously not selected. We do recommend that you apply only for those roles that align with your experience and interests.
Vacancies will be filled on an ongoing basis after opening and we may close applications at any time. Therefore, we highly recommend you submit your application as early as possible to be considered for the opportunity of your choice.

Scheduling: Given our large volume of interviews, candidates are often contacted via email to arrange the logistics of the interview. If travel is required to conduct your interview, our travel agency will contact you directly to schedule any necessary flight and hotel accommodations.
Interview Process: Interviews at NXP traditionally comprise of a phone interview, followed by one or more onsite/virtual interviews.
Onsite Interview: Our onsite interview format is a series of individual meetings with various members of the hiring team. This method is designed to give candidates a 360-degree view of the department and the role.
Virtual Interview: Our virtual interview format is a series of individual meetings with various members of the hiring team using the Microsoft Teams platform.
Interview Format: Interview styles may vary significantly between different groups and job opportunities. Most interviewers ask questions to help them understand your skillset while also getting to know who you are and how you communicate. Occasionally, groups will opt for a panel interview with several members of the company interviewing you collectively. If this is the case, your interview schedule will indicate a panel interview.
We aim to get back to candidates within two weeks of an interview, although sometimes it may be longer depending on the number of candidates interviewed. Feel free to reach out to your individual recruiter if you have questions in the interim. All virtual and onsite candidates will be notified directly with an interview outcome regardless of whether they are selected or not.

Yes. If you’re selected for the position, our University Team will help you with the paperwork you need.
Yes. If you’re selected for the position, our University Team will help with OPT paperwork and will submit paperwork to our immigration team to have you included in our next set of H1B petitions. The new H1B regulations won’t impact our NCGs until they are picked up for an H1B and it’s likely that before that happens, the regulations will be challenged in court.
No. If you have to relocate, you’ll be given a small stipend to support that, and our university team will put you in touch with other interns joining for the term so you can coordinate with them to arrange roommates, ride share, etc.
Yes. The amount depends on how far away you must relocate to get to the worksite. If you’re selected for the position, our university team will explain how this works.
Probably not, as we only have a limited amount of time with our interns, but we’re willing to consider it. Please discuss this with the hiring manager.
