This technical session addresses usage of IEEE 1588 protocol for time distribution in automotive networks using the NXP S32G platform. Using one adaptive AUTOSAR node as Grandmaster clock and several Classic AUTOSAR nodes as Time Aware End Nodes to achieve a time synchronization accuracy better than 1 ms. This accuracy is realized using the hardware feature provided by S32G's Gigabit Ethernet Media Access Controller (GMAC) interface.
