Embedded World 2025 showcased the latest developments in embedded technology such as wireless connectivity, security and AI
All of these were part of the array of demos in NXP’s booth demonstrating how our technology is enabling brighter journeys, brighter lives and brighter places. Our vision for brighter places centers on the transformation from smart to autonomous, intelligent homes and buildings through these same technologies.
Wireless technologies such as Wi-Fi and Thread, combined with application layer protocols like Matter, are foundational to making homes and buildings more connected and smarter which was exemplified in two of the Brighter Places demos.
The SeeZero system, powered by NXP processing and connectivity, leverages Matter to connect with smart home devices from other brands, especially high-energy usage devices such as appliances and EV chargers, and delivers intelligent energy management in a smart home.

Access to homes and buildings has evolved significantly in recent years through smart doorbells and smart locks and NXP is invested in ushering further advancements in access control with our FRDM board-based autonomous secure access solution. This solution brings together multiple technologies for simpler and secure access including UWB (hands-free), NFC (tap and touch), mobile, scalable security, interoperability with the smart home through Matter and Aliro to reduce complexity and time-to-market for device makers. Aliro is a new standard in development with the Connectivity Standards Alliance that standardizes a communication protocol between access readers and user devices such as mobile phones.
