Wistron today announced the establishment of a joint laboratory with NXP® Semiconductors, the worldwide leader in automotive processing and networking. Wistron has been deeply involved in the electric vehicle industry for nearly ten years. The joint lab will be established to create a complete verification and development environment to accelerate the innovation and development of next generation electrical and electronic (E/E) architectures for software-defined vehicles (SDV).
The lab integrates NXP's latest generation of automotive networking solutions including the recently announced S32J, S32G vehicle network processors complemented with the VR5510 PMIC, S32K microcontrollers supported by the FS25 safety system basis chip as well as professional technical support with Wistron's system integration capabilities. The lab will focus on research and development and verification of key technologies for automotive Ethernet, such as in-vehicle network architecture design, network security protection, and system compatibility testing.
Wistron has deep expertise in in-vehicle communication, with the core technologies of on-board computing system related solutions and central control units. Combined with the advantages of NXP's technology and industrial ecosystem, this collaboration will create a high-performance communication architecture for global automakers that meets the needs of future SDVs.
