The MCSXTE2BK142 is a development board engineered for 3-phase Permanent Magnet (BLDC/PMSM) motor up to 800 W output at 24 V system or up to 400 W at 12 V system.

Based on the 32-bit Arm® Cortex®-M S32K142 MCU and the GD3000 gate driver IC for three-phase motor drive applications, the MCSXTE2BK142 offers an out-of-box easy-to-use 12/24 V motor control development board for general purpose automotive, together with rich software enablement and tools.

The MCSXTE2BK142 can be used as a quick prototype verification board for automotive motor control applications within 24 V and 800 W.

The MCSXTE2BK142 development board is replacing the S32K142-MC24 design.

MCSXTE2BK142 features

  • Out-of-box motor control and tuning using FreeMASTER Motor Control Application Tuning (MCAT) Tool with the ability to drive multiple types of automotive motors and tune those motors directly.
  • PMSM field oriented control (FOC) single, dual and triple shunt current sensing solutions implemented in software projects
  • Implement advanced motor control algorithm: Field Weakening (FW) and Stall Detection
  • Integrate BSP layer API of CAN, LIN and PWM communication for motor control
  • Includes a sensor (Hall, encoder) and sensorless mode

  • 24 V power supply system with up to 800 W automotive BLDC/PMSM motor control system.
  • Applicable for both 12 V and 24 V system
  • Speed/Control commands from LIN/CAN/PWM
  • Sensorless and Hall sensor based FOC PMSM/BLDC motor control
  • Rich motor control diagnosis and protection: OV, UV, OC, OT

Software

  • Provide S32DS IDE project and makefile project to support multi-toolchain (GHS, IAR, and GCC) and multi-debugger (Lauterbach, U-Multilink, and J-LINK debugger)
