DSP OS is a real time, preemptive, multitasking, priority based operating system. It has been designed specifically to take advantage of the high performance nature of DSPs. Most functions are written in ANSI C. However, time critical functions have been optimized in assembly to take advantage of the zero overhead looping and multiple execution units present in most DSPs.
DSP OS has a very small footprint. It was designed to reside within the restrictive memory requirements of today's DSP software applications
DSP OS is a royalty free operating system. It may be purchased as a library or source code.
