This training shows how to design and develop motor control algorithms with Simulink® (MathWorks) and the Model-Based Design Toolbox for S32M2.
We will introduce NXP’s S32M2 family, an integrated solution for 12V Motor Control and show how to access and configure the MCU peripherals making the Simulink® model hardware-aware and ready to generate, build and deploy the application on the target. We will focus on a simple scalar control (also known as open-loop control or Volts per Hertz control) algorithm for a permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM).
The FreeMASTER software tool will be used to control and monitor the algorithms running on the S32M2. We will also show how to integrate more of the MathWorks solutions, to deploy complex algorithms, like mechanisms for predictive maintenance on NXP´s integrated solution.
MBDT for S32M2 provides an integrated development environment and toolchain for configuring and generating software to execute complex applications on this integrated solution directly from Simulink.
