The RD33774PC3EVB is a centralized cell monitoring unit (CMU) reference design with electrical transport protocol link (ETPL) communication. It is ideal for rapid prototyping of a 800 V high-voltage battery management system (HVBMS) hardware and software. This board contains three MC33774 analog front ends (AFEs) in a daisy chain.

  • Life-time guaranteed high accuracy cell voltage measurement channels, with averaging and advanced filtering

Temperature Measurement

  • 12 analog inputs for NTC temperature sensors

Cell Balancing

  • Integrated passive cell balancing up to 200 mA peak

Communication

  • Isolated electrical transport protocol link (ETPL) communication between CMU and BMU

Cost Reduction

  • Optimized BOM using capacitive isolation on and off board
